Gym Myths!!
1. "Women need to exercise differently than men do."
- Nope.
2. "You can turn fat into muscle."
- Nope, not how that works, but you can build muscle as you're losing fat.
3. "The more you sweat the better the workout was."
- Nope. Just depends on your genetics, some people sweat a lot more than other people, but it doesn't determine if you had a good workout or not.
4. "Morning workouts are better and more effective."
- Nope. Doesn't make a difference anytime of the day.
5. "Carbs and sugar make you fat."
- Nope. Carbs and sugar are both needed, and help fuel the body.
6. "If you're not sore after a workout, it means you didn't try hard enough."
- Nope. If you've been working out for a long time, you're less likely to get sore, but that doesn't mean you won't have results.
7. "Lifting heavy will make you bulky."
- Nope. Only if you want to be bulky.
8. "Doing only ab exercises will burn your fat and give you abs."
- Nope. If you want to burn stubborn stomach fat and achieve abs, you need to eat in a calorie deficit. Its all about nutrition.
9. "The longer you're at the gym, the better the workout."
- Nope. You don't need to be there for over an hour, you can get an equally effective workout in 30min or less.
10. "Creatine causes hair loss."
- Nope. It doesn't have any harmful side effects, completely safe and very much recommended for muscle growth.
